Balboa Island

Balboa Island!

"Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful will happen." 

Ever since our failed Halloween adventure Taylor and I wanted to go back to Balboa Island during the day. We both had the day off so we hit the road and drove down the pacific coast highway, with the windows rolled down blasting One Direction and Harry Styles songs. The only parking on Balboa Island is parallel parking and ever since drivers ed in sophomore year I have never tried parallel parking again. Luckily there was a big enough space for me to 'parallel park'. 

There is a part of the island where you can drive over a bridge and then you have to take a ferry to get to the other side of the island. We only stayed on the first part and walked along the boardwalk. Every house had their own little pier and gorgeous beach houses. We saw so many people walking and lots of cute dogs. We ate the famous Balboa Bars and then I bought some post cards to send back home.

While we were driving home the sunset was incredible; pink and orange everywhere! It reminded me of the beautiful sunsets back in Utah.
